Celebrating the Legacy of the King of Pop
In commemoration of the Japanese release of the Michael movie, Tower Records Shibuya will host a Michael Jackson tribute Dj party.

Michael Jackson remains the undisputed king of pop, even 17 years after his death. Fans can gather at the party to celebrate the artist’s legacy with music and drinks on the 6th floor. The Shibuya shop will display the concrete slab where Michael Jackson actually marked his handprint when he visited Tower Records in 1996. The party will feature performances by ChibiChael, DJ Komori and Zukie on June 14. ChibiChael, G. Rina and Muro will perform on June 25.
Inspired by Michael Jackson in his childhood, ChibiChael became engrossed in music and dance. He has worked with world-renowned artists such as Kento Mori, along with official Michael Jackson events. DJ Komori is one of Japan’s leading DJs and producers, and is celebrating his 20th anniversary. His roots are in R&B, but he also reigns supreme in Tokyo’s club scene and major domestic festivals. Zukie is a music producer and resident nightclub DJ based in Tokyo.
G. Rina is a singer-songwriter, producer and DJ from Tokyo. She has consistently self-produced, and has released six albums to date. Muro is a hip-hop/funk DJ and producer. Also known as the “King of Diggin,” Muro has been active since the late 1980s. After working with Krush Posse and Microphone Pager, he made his solo debut and DJs all over the world.

Beer and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available to enjoy during the party.
