Over 100 Exhibitions and Performances Across Sumida
The Sumida Five colors Art Festival is a comprehensive arts festival that takes place throughout Sumida Ward. Exhibitions, plays, dances and music events will be held not only in galleries and theaters, but also in various locations throughout the city, such as old houses, shopping streets and the Sumida River Terrace for an art experience across over 50 different locations.
With the theme of “The Five Colors of Sumida,” this year’s festival offers a cross-genre experience of Sumida Ward’s history, culture and lifestyle. In addition to independent projects by more than 30 artists, the festival will also showcase community-participatory projects. The entire city is adorned with art, allowing visitors to enjoy a unique arts festival experience where the community and art merge.
