A Not-So-Scary Halloween Celebration
Disney Halloween, one of the most popular and anticipated seasonal events at Tokyo Disney Resort, is back with thrilling villainous entertainment, autumn festivities, themed menus and exclusive merchandise.
Rules on Costumes
One of the best parts of Halloweentime at Tokyo Disney Resort is dressing up in costumes, or even just go people-watching to see the amazing intricate costumes that fans put together just for the event.
From September 15 through September 30, and from October 16 through October 31, guests can enter Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea dressed in full character costumes. Adults may not wear costumes from October 1 to October 15.
The resort has a list of rules that guests must follow to make sure their costumes are permissible. Please check the full list of costume rules on the Tokyo Disney Resort website.
Shows and Attractions
At the centerpiece of the event is the seasonal entertainment, bringing dressed up characters and more rarely-seen Disney Villains, for Halloween fun. “Into the Frenzy” is Tokyo Disneyland’s Halloween parade. Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog leads an energetic, mysterious parade joined by Disney Villains including Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, Jafar and more. The show features exciting dance numbers and dynamic flame and smoke special effects during the finale.
“Into the Frenzy” is performed once per day, and runs for around 45 minutes. Guests who purchase a Disney Premier Access pass for the parade or have Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package reservations have a dedicated viewing area in front of the Plaza Garden. Showtimes may vary, please check the schedule here.
Tokyo Disneyland will also start a new stage show, “The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour,” starting September 30. The show will feature 16 total performers alongside Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Vanellope and Baymax, performing arranged Disney classics and original songs.
Tokyo DisneySea’s Mediterranean Harbor will host the “Disney Halloween Greeting” show, where Mickey Mouse and his friends will appear on boats and perform a fun dance.
From September 16 to November 2, guests at Tokyo DisneySea can enjoy “Lazos de la Familia” at the Lost River Delta. Inspired by Pixar’s Coco and paying tribute to the Día de los Muertos tradition, the area will be adorned with colorful decorations, skeletons and marigolds. Dancers and a live mariachi band will bring a lively atmosphere.
For fireworks, the “Night High Halloween” spectacular will cover both parks. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m., but depending on the wind conditions, the performance may be canceled.
From September 15 to January 7, 2027, the Haunted Mansion will transform into the alternative “Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare.” The attraction will have a Halloween/Christmas overlay inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.
