Eat Through the Story of Sakamoto Days
Smile Base Cafe will host a pop-up cafe inspired by the story and characters from the popular anime Sakamoto Days with themed food, drinks and merchandise. The cafe will tour through Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo, and is scheduled to run through:
- Shinsaibashi: July 23 to August 4
- Ikebukuro: August 13 to August 27
- Nagoyasakae: September 3 to September 17
The cafe menu will take inspiration from the series’ characters and storyline. Food and dessert offerings include a curry and naan plate, squid ink tomato pasta, a “killer” burger stack, a dice berry cake, a fruit jelly parfait and Sakamoto’s peaceful everyday plate with omelette rice and Neapolitan spaghetti. The menu will also have some fun drink options like a light-up ramune cider.
Weekday daytime sessions will be limited to 90 minutes, either from 12:30-2:00 p.m. or from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Evening sessions will be limited to 120 minutes with last orders open until 7:00 p.m. Guests coming in during holidays will be limited to 75 minutes. Walk-in guests will be welcome when seating is available, but reservations will be prioritized and are highly recommended.
A variety of exclusive merchandise will be available at the cafe gift shop, featuring the cafe’s new character artwork. Products include badge buttons, posters, acrylic stands and more.
