German publisher Taschen launches a new partnership with Tokyo’s fashionable BALS chain
As part of a series of new shop-in-shops, Taschen opens its first site in the BalsToyko Ginza store on Friday.
At just over 100 square meters, the store features nearly 400 titles from the Taschen range, including a selection of Art and Collectors editions.
The shop was designed by Ryuichi Kitamura, a specialist in eco-modern design; the interior and shelves are made of natural woods, including cedar and hinoki.
Following the Ginza launch, Bals will open 3 more Taschen shop-in-shops: Bals Nakameguro, Roppongi and Aoyama Francfranc.
To celebrate the opening of the Ginza shop, the first 200 customers to spend over 5,000 yen will receive a free gift, just in time for Christmas!
