Shop in Total Silence
TBS Radio’s program Noutoh, hosted by rapper TaiTan and musician Shukei Tamaoki, will present an immersive challenge event at TBS Akasaka Blitz Studio.
The challenge event invites participants to collect products inside a fully-stocked convenience store without making a single sound. Players who make any audible noise will be immediately eliminated. This is the third iteration of “Toh,” which previously opened a silent “shoplifting” experience last March. The previous event was immensely popular, accumulating over 50 million views across social media.
This time, the game will take place in a convenience store setting and will partner with Red Bull. The store will be stocked with a broad range of merchandise, including Red Bull energy drinks and exclusive BMX bikes, skateboards and helmets worn by Red Bull athletes like Hinano Kusaki and Kio Hyakawa. Other products include snacks, apparel, vintage magazines and ramen.
Players can attempt to take any item displayed in the store within the designated time limit, and without making any sound.
Each game session will take approximately 30 minutes. Participation will cost ¥1500 for one player, ¥2700 for two players, ¥3200 for three players and ¥3500 for four players.
