This special program marks 25 years since the release of the film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” It follows what Harry Potter saw after receiving his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and setting off for the castle — a world far beyond anything he had imagined.
Visitors retrace the days of wonder and excitement that Harry experienced there, through lavish film sets and displays that include an atmospheric staging of the Sorting Ceremony, the celebrated scene in which students are called to one of the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
The venue also recreates other magical locations, such as the classrooms where magic lessons are held. Another part of the program looks at how the magical world was created on screen: demonstrations reveal the techniques behind filming the invisibility cloak, the scene in which Hermione’s spell sends a feather floating into the air.
Original food items made specially for the program are also on sale. Ticket prices vary by season, and student discount tickets are among the other options available; opening hours differ by day, so visitors should check the official site before going.
