Calling in Spring With Saki Ozawa
A rising jazz pianist, Saki Ozawa will present a program centered on spring-inspired jazz standards and original compositions at Blue Note Place. The timeless sound of a classic piano trio carries the promise of a new season in full bloom.
Ozawa began studying classical piano at the age of three, and at 15, inspired by Gene Harris’s album Tribute to Count Basie, started playing jazz piano. Ozawa began performing live even while still a student and has since gone on to perform in various venues both domestically and internationally.
In this performance, Ozawa will be joined by Takashi Sugawa on bass and Gerald Painia on drums.
