A Spring Afternoon Tea with Rilakkuma and Friends
To commemorate the release of a new Rilakkuma television cartoon, a pop-up Rilakkuma cafe will open in Tokyo, Osaka and Aichi. Along with classic favorites like Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori, the cafe will also feature new characters from the TV show, Awawa Neko and Yobi.
The themed cafe will make its first stop in Tokyo, at Box Cafe & Space inside the Shibuya 109 department store from April 23 to May 31. The menu will feature cute afternoon tea sets that allow fans to freely choose their own favorite combination of characters. The set includes a main plate of either a savory or sweet cake, three side plates (a total of six options including pancakes and tarts), and a drink.
Drinks can also be ordered separately from the set. These include an herbal tea, a fruit tea, a relaxing tea or coffee. The cafe will offer original merchandise such as stickers, tea spoons, mugs and coasters.
Customers who make advance reservations will receive a set of two postcards.
