Welcome to Pochacco’s Cafe
Sanrio’s popular puppy character Pochacco will have a new pop-up cafe experience in Tokyo and Osaka.
Pochacco has been a consistently popular character within Sanrio’s cast list, achieving five consecutive wins from 1991 to 1995 on the annual Sanrio Character Ranking and placing third place in 2025.
Matching Pochaccho’s color scheme, the cafe will have a mostly monochrome palette with pops of blue and green. The theme will be centered on Pochacco working as a waiter in a chic cafe, with cute menu items, refreshing summer drinks and exclusive merchandise.
The cafe will open in Tokyo and Osaka starting on July 2.
- Tokyo/Oshiage (July 2 – August 16): Box Cafe & Space Tokyo Soramachi Store
- Osaka/Tennoji (July 2 – August 9): Box Cafe & Space Tennoji MIO store
Reservations are currently open, and up to four seats can be reserved per application. There is a booking fee of ¥660, but guests with an advance reservation will receive a special ticket folder as a bonus.
The menu will be full of fun Pochacco-themed offerings, including an egg sandwich, a croque monsieur, mushroom cream pasta, cafe mocha and more.
For every ¥3000 yen spent on food and drinks, guests will receive one Pochacco card as a gift.
The cafe will also have exclusive merchandise available featuring the cafe theme. Original goods include stickers, magnets, keychains, teaspoons, mini dioramas and glass cups to take the cafe spirit with you.
