Celebrate 10 Years of Lucky Tapes
Lucky Tapes, the solo project of artist Kai Takahashi who has garnered high praise for his sophisticated sound rooted in soul music, will be making a comeback at Cotton Club after three years.
Takahashi released the EP 1991 and the single “Midsummer Twilight” in 2025. Since releasing his debut single in 2015, he has performed at numerous major festivals in Japan and has built a fan base throughout Asia. Takahashi has also put together songs, arrangements and production for multiple artists, and created the official song for Pokémon’s “Project Snorlax.”
This year, Lucky Tapes is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Cotton Club will offer an intimate atmosphere to host the project’s milestone celebration. The performance will feature Kai Takahashi on vocals and keyboard, Yusuke Goto on guitar, Shota Oyama on bass, Takuto Yamachika on drums, Yui Kawahito on piano and keyboard and Sarah Furukawa on chorus.
