Tony Award-winning Actor and Singer Makes His Japan Debut
John Lloyd Young, who won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2006 for his role as Frankie Valli in Broadway’s Jersey Boys, is finally coming to Japan for his long-awaited first performance at Cotton Club.
Young began his career as a stage actor and made his Broadway debut in Jersey Boys in 2005. In 2009, he appeared in the TV drama series Glee, and in 2012, he released his debut album. For this three-day performance, Young will perform select musical songs. The performance will feature John Lloyd Young on vocals, Yoshiki Higashi on drums, Tomoyoshi Watanabe on guitar, Tomotaka Sekiya on bass and Atsushi Abe on piano and keyboard.
Only on the opening night, March 30, Tomomi Ooto, who played Frankie in the Japanese version of Jersey Boys will perform as a special guest.
