Experience A Thrilling Improvisational Master Pianist
The Los Angeles-based pianist and composer known as GKO will perform a one-night-only special at Blue Note Place as part of “The Blue Tour 2026.” GKO is known for creating works shaped by space, light and living in the moment — establishing his own unique improvisational style.
GKO is a graduate of Harvard University, and he was selected as a prestigious Young Steinway Artist at just 25 years old. GKO earned his degree in composition and musicology, with Harvard’s first-ever thesis on piano performance receiving high acclaim, along with the David McCord Prize for outstanding creativity and talent.
He has performed globally, including nine appearances at the renowned Carnegie Hall. GKO has also been featured as a guest artist at leading institutions such as the British Museum, TED, the MIT Media Lab, Berklee College of Music and the Tanglewood Music Center.
