A Celebration of Latin Jazz and Pop
Cuban trumpeter Luis Valle and the world-traveling violinist known as Sayaka will present a new facet of Cuban and Latin music.
The opening night, presented as Blue Note Place’s family friendly day, will feature a cross-generational set blending Latin jazz and pop. The performance will also feature selections from popular anime and Disney films. On the second night, the group will welcome special guest Carlos Céspedes, a touring member of Buena Vista Social Club, for a touch of the beautiful and vibrant sounds of Cuba.
This performance will feature Luis Valle on trumpet, Sayaka on violin, Sayaka Nakamura on piano, Haruyoshi Mori Morales on bass, Kaori Iwatsuki on percussion (April 19 only), Takuya “B” Arakawa on percussion (April 20 only) and guest Carlos Céspedes on vocals (April 20 only).
The performance on April 19 will open at 17:30 and start at 18:30. The April 20 performance will open at 18:00 and start at 19:00
April 19 is Family Friendly Day at Blue Note Place, which welcomes audiences of all ages. Children under 10 years old can attend at a special rate of ¥1,100.
