Aokabi Saya: Mille Crepe 2 Exhibition
Illustrator Aokabi Saya returns with Mille Crepe 2, a solo exhibition of new works showing at Parco Museum Tokyo. Known for blending analog and digital techniques, Aokabi draws inspiration from the stylized character designs of 1990s Japanese animation, reinterpreting them with a delicate balance of precision and spontaneity.
This exhibition features 16 new pieces across four distinct series: Outline, Process, Pettan, and Form. Each work plays with repetition, structure, or deconstruction—exploring the relationship between memory, image, and process. Aokabi’s pieces often embrace subtle imperfections through manual rendering, layering digital sketches onto canvas before painting by hand.
Limited-edition exhibition merchandise, including T-shirts, A1 posters, and sticker sets, will also be available while supplies last.
