Celebrating the release of “Chiikawa the Movie: Secret of the Mermaid Island,” this hands-on puzzle-solving event is set across the Tokyo Metro network.
Armed with a dedicated kit, participants take on a series of puzzles hidden at subway stations and around the surrounding neighborhoods to track down Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi — who have gone missing. The story and staging draw directly from “Chiikawa the Movie: Secret of the Mermaid Island,” unfolding further with each puzzle solved, for an immersive experience of stepping into the film’s world.
Clues are woven not only in Tokyo Metro stations but also nearby parks and facilities, so participants can also discover new sides of Tokyo while enjoying a walk through the city.
