A Fun Monster Parade Through Edo-Period Streets
The festival’s main event sends Yokai parading through Toei Uzumasa Eigamura’s recreated Edo-period streets, and it’s built for participation, not just spectating. Visitors can pose for photos with the performers, chase their favorite creatures with cameras, and even join pre-taught dance sessions held in the plaza along the route, set to original music. Past attendees describe a Japanese-style Halloween atmosphere, with tourists dancing and laughing alongside costumed Yokai. The parades are split into two sections: the Twilight Parade, which starts from 5:30 p.m., and the Night Parade, which starts from 7:30 p.m..
