Summer Fun with Chiikawa

In celebration of the first-ever film adaptation of the popular series Chiikawa, 15 Parco department stores across Japan will have special photo spots, exclusive merchandise, collaboration cafes and other campaigns.

Participating locations include Sapporo, Sendai, Urawa, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Chofu, Hibarigaoka, Kinshicho, Kichijoji, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Shinsaibashi, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Ueno. San-A Urasoe Nishikaigan Parco City will also participate. 

Fans will find special photo spots inside participating stores where they can take photos with Chiikawa and friends while holding props that appear in the movie. There are also six keywords hidden within the participating stores. Fans can enter the correct password on the designated page to receive a wallpaper image of the campaign visual.

The first 70,000 customers nationwide who spend ¥5500 or more during the event period will receive an original Chiikawa pouch as a gift. As an additional benefit, customers who use Pokepal Payment or Parco Card to complete their purchases will also receive an original sticker.

The event will also have a social media campaign.  Fans who follow the official X account and repost the post marked “Gift Giveaway Post” will have a chance to win one of 120 original dessert cups sets.

Pop-up cafes will open at Shibuya, Shinsaibashi and Nagoya featuring special food and drinks inspired by the world of Chiikawa. Items include a limited-edition Shisa island ramen, Chiikawa’s peach shaved ice, mermaid steamed buns and tropical drinks decorated to look like Hachiware, Usagi and Chiikawa.

  • The Guest Cafe by Parco (Shibuya Parco, 6th floor)
    • July 10 – September 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (food last orders at 8:00 p.m., and drink last orders at 8:30 p.m.)
  • The Guest Cafe by Parco (Shinsaibashi Parco, 6th floor)
    • July 24 – September 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (food last orders at 7:00 p.m., and drink last orders at 7:30 p.m.)
  • The Guest Cafe by Parco (Nagoya Parco, 8th floor of the west building)
    • September 4 – November 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (food last orders at 7:00 p.m., and drink last orders at 7:30 p.m.)
