An Art Gallery in the Street
Jinny Street Gallery will host “Friends of Jinny,” a new art project connecting international illustrators with people from the local community.

Overseas artists will be paired with local residents and shop owners in Jingumae to share their stories as they create their artwork. A total of 40 community members and 40 international artists will participate, collaborating for a project that transcends cultures and physical distance. Partners will interact like pen pals, sharing stories about their lives and daily routines. Each piece of the project is a small story born from the convergence of thoughts and narratives between artists in distant places and people living in this city.
The completed artworks will be displayed in the street gallery, utilizing street lights as a unique display.
During the event period, the exhibition will collaborate with the Swedish sticker brand “StickerApp” to create a limited edition sticker collection based on the exhibited artworks. Stickers will be sold at the opening event held at the art bar “222-2” near Jinny Street Gallery on April 18, starting at 18:00. The opening will include a talk event, and food and drinks.
