Blossoming Vocals, Keys and Sakura
Pianist and singer-songwriter Sarah McKenzie will return to Blue Note Tokyo with her crystalline vocals and elegant piano style.
Born in Melbourne and educated at Berklee College of Music, McKenzie made her Japan debut with the album Paris in the Rain, produced by Brian Bacchus. Her other releases, including Secrets of My Heart and Without You, have also earned lasting acclaim. McKenzie’s latest single “City by the Bay” is already drawing attention.
From timeless standards to original songs, her silky voice promises a refined and unforgettable evening. The performance will feature Sarah McKenzie on vocals and piano, Larry Koonse on guitar, Geoff Gascoyne on bass and Anthony Fung on drums.
On March 27, the first show will open at 17:00 and start at 18:00. The second show will open at 19:45 and start at 20:30. On March 28, the first show will open at 15:30 and start at 16:30. The second show will open at 18:30 and start at 19:30.
The performance is a perfect match for cherry blossom season with Blue Note Tokyo’s Sakura Celebration. During the event period, guests can enjoy special offerings like the sakura and ruby chocolate mousse and Charles Heidsieck rosé réserve.
