Oneohtrix Point Never Returns to Japan
The upcoming Japan tour for Oneohtrix Point Never (OPN) has just become an even more essential event with the addition of a very special guest: ambient pioneer and living legend Laraaji. Having recently sold out his own solo Japan tour, Laraaji’s presence marks a full-circle moment as he also collaborated with Daniel Lopatin on the soundtrack for A24’s Marty Supreme. This rare pairing brings together two generations of sonic innovators for an unforgettable night.
Daniel Lopatin returns to Japan following the massive success of his 2025 album Tranquilizer, which earned Pitchfork’s “Best New Music” and dominated year-end lists. For these shows, OPN reunites with visual artist Freeka Tet to present an evolved, high-resolution audio-visual experience that blurs the lines between reality and the surreal.
The year is proving to be a landmark for OPN; in addition to the tour, his score for Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme (starring Timothée Chalamet) is out now on CD in Japan. Much like Tranquilizer, the soundtrack has been hailed as a masterwork of texture and emotion, also receiving the “Best New Music” distinction.
Fans picking up the Japanese CD release of the soundtrack can look forward to exclusive bonuses, including a double-sided poster and a limited edition “Marty Supreme” orange ping-pong ball (available while stocks last), reflecting the film’s table tennis theme.

The album Tranquilizer is a 15-track sound collage born from Lopatin’s process of salvaging and rebuilding lost digital sound fragments, resulting in his most deeply immersive and textured work to date. The album revolves around the themes of collapse, memory and craft.
