Special Rooms Featuring Kumamon in ‘Work Mode’ in Three Hotels
WHG Hotels across Japan are teaming up with the popular mascot Kumamon for the first time. The collaboration includes special rooms featuring Kumamon in “work mode,” at three hotels as well as a breakfast buffet where guests can savor seasonal delicacies from Kumamoto Prefecture at 28 participating hotels.
The event, titled “Kumamon on a Business Trip to WHG Hotels! ~ An Omotenashi Experience Connecting Kumamoto and the Whole of Japan~,” will run until June 30.
“The Kumamoto Sales Manager’s Special Room” is available for a limited time with one room available at each of three hotels in Tokyo, Osaka and Sendai. Guests staying in the themed rooms will be welcomed by a giant Kumamon that is approximately 90 centimeters tall. They also receive a limited edition charm, coaster, face mask and sightseeing pamphlet.
Guests staying at the 28 participating hotels nationwide can enjoy a Kumamoto breakfast, which includes regional specialities such as Karashi renkon balls and “Genki Natto,” a variety known for its mild smell and sweet soy sauce-based tare.
