From Thailand to Tokyo
Makara, the highly-anticipated band from Thailand will make their debut at the Blue Note Place stage. “Makara,” a project that evolved from the solo work of Q (Makara Dolsuklard), former lead singer of Blues Tape, brings a fresh and distinctive sound shaped by influences ranging from rock icons like Arctic Monkeys and Led Zeppelin, with the sounds of traditional music of Thailand’s Isan region — reimagined with a modern edge.
This performance will feature Q (Makara Dolsuklert ) on vocals and guitar, Of (Yanaphon Wiboonwitayanan) on bass and Mike (Chawit Neelaphaijit) on drums. The show will offer guests a rare chance to witness the cutting edge of Asia’s contemporary music scene in an intimate setting.
The group will also make an appearance at the Thai Festival in Yoyogi Park the day before.
