To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Shinjuku Takashimaya is hosting Wagashi Tamashii (Japanese Confectionery Spirit), a massive six-day event bringing together approximately 120 Japanese confectionery shops from all 47 prefectures of Japan.
Curated by a buyer with 20 years of experience, this event transcends traditional boundaries, offering a fresh, innovative take on Japanese sweets.
Guests can taste limited-edition desserts created by traditional Japanese confectionery artisans and popular pastry chefs. Discover seasonal sweets featuring autumn flavors including figs, chestnuts and sweet potatoes, alongside modern creations like chocolate-inspired “tablet yokan” and jewel-like amber candies.
