Taiki Sato Collaborates With Sanrio
Japanese dancer and actor Taiki Sato will collaborate with Sanrio for a special pop-up event inside Shibuya 109 department store — Upagoro, the axolotl character produced by Sato, will collaborate with Sanrio’s Hangyodon.
“It all started with a mistake I made during a live broadcast, but from that day on, I fell in love with Hangyodon and my fans started coming to concerts and events wearing sets of Upagoro and Hangyodon merchandise, and supporting me together,” says Sato about the collaboration.

The collection features 26 types of merchandise, from hairbands to water bottles and plush keychains.
The pop-up will be open at two venues, in Tokyo and Osaka. The Tokyo event will take place at Shibuya 109 from December 26 to January 6. The Osaka event will be at the Shibuya 109 Abeno Store from February 18 to March 1. On December 26 to 28, and January 2 to 3, the Tokyo pop-up will be limited to 10:00 to 13:00.
Customers who make purchases of ¥10,000 or more will receive an original sticker. Numbered tickets may be distributed depending on the level of congestion.
