Featuring the Rich Food Cultures of Countries Bordering the Indian Ocean
The second Shakey’s World Tour is currently taking place, with the latest stage being the Indian Ocean. Three types of pizza featuring the rich food cultures of countries bordering the Indian Ocean have been added to the usual lineup.
First, there is the Java-style Curry Pizza, which includes a spicy curry sauce packed with the deep flavor of juicy beef, plus mango chutney as a secret ingredient. The Devil Chicken Pizza is a spicy dish of Sri Lankan devil chicken topped with jalapeño and chili powder. And for something a bit sweeter, there is the cake-like fruity Mango Dessert Pizza that uses mango and pineapple lavishly.
Shakey’s famously operates an all-you-can-eat buffet with pizza, pasta, salad, curry and desserts, as well as the restaurant’s iconic potato wedges. For an additional ¥800, customers can enjoy the self-service alcohol bar, which includes a Kirin beer and highball tap. You can also make your own shochu sour cocktails.
Shakey’s World Tour can be enjoyed at 13 locations including Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Yokohama and Kichijoji.
