Have a Showa Halloween

Step back in time to a charmingly nostalgic Showa-era Halloween at Seibuen Yuenchi. Returning for its second year due to popular demand, the Halloween event transforms the historic Sunset Hill Shopping Street into a slightly spooky, incredibly cute autumn wonderland.

Costumes are fully welcomed for guests of all ages. To keep the event fun and secure for everyone, please note the following rules:

  • No face coverings, masks or makeup that completely obscures your face or body shape

  • No dangerous objects, toy weapons, oversized props and items that produce loud noises

  • No excessive skin exposure, full-body tights or bare feet

There are no changing rooms inside the park. Please arrive already dressed and made up. Avoid using public restrooms at nearby stations or inside the park for changing clothes.

The popular Halloween parade will return with residents of the Sunset Hill Shopping Street dancing to upbeat music in vibrant, specially produced Halloween costumes. Visitors are warmly encouraged to join in the march.

The shopping street itself will also be decked out with little pumpkins and classic jack-o’-lanterns blending seamlessly into the retro Showa-era townscape, making it the perfect spot for photos.

The event will offer limited-time food to go with the autumn season. Warm up with themed seasonal treats available across the park like the jet-black pumpkin croquette, pumpkin soup and pumpkin doria.
