A Kawaii (And Slightly Scary) Sanrio Halloween

A variety of adorable and colorful monsters are taking over Sanrio Puroland for this year’s Halloween celebration, with a special visit from Pop Land’s Labubu. The theme park’s Halloween festivities will run from September 11 to November 3 and will feature a variety of seasonal performances, merchandise, food and drinks, decor and an alternative horror version of a popular attraction.

The Puro Monster Scramble Party will take place inside the first floor Entertainment Hall with characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Bad Badtz-Maru and special guest Labubu. Guests can experience a 360-degree immersive live show where everyone can join in, become a monster and turn up the energy together. The Entertainment Hall will also have a DJ showcase with characters dressed up in special monster outfits.

Sanrio Puroland will have a wide variety of seasonal Halloween decor and photo spots where guests can take pictures with their family and friends. With a special appearance from Labubu, the festival will also offer limited-edition collaboration merchandise and themed menus.

For guests looking for something a bit more scary for Halloween, Puroland will transform the popular Sanrio Character Boat Ride attraction into an alternative horror version called “Noroware Piero” (Cursed Pierrot). This limited-time version of the attraction will be held exclusively on weekends and holidays until November 3. The boat ride will operate as usual during the daytime, and the cursed clowns will come out starting from 4:00 p.m. on those select days. The horror version of the ride will be open to guests of junior high school age and older, elementary school children and younger will not be permitted to enter.
