Harajuku’s Legendary Halloween Event Returns
After an 11-year hiatus, Harajuku’s iconic Halloween celebration is back and bigger than ever. The colorful Kawaii Monster Land is transforming into a full-scale Halloween wonderland.
Originally made legendary by the historic Kawaii Monster Cafe and its unforgettable Halloween parties, this modern revival brings back the spirit of radical self-expression, colorful fashion and immersive fantasy to the heart of Harajuku.
Throughout October, the entire facility will be immersed in a spooky-meets-colorful aesthetic complete with special photo spots. Guests can enjoy exclusive Halloween-themed live performances by the venue’s signature Monster Girl cast.
A photogenic and delicious menu featuring Halloween-inspired foods, sweets, cocktails and mocktails will be available for the duration of the event.
Of course with Harajuku, fashion and dress up are a key centerpiece. The Halloween Fashion Grand Prix is a weekly showcase where visitors can show off their costumes and festive outfits. Special themed nights featuring DJs, runway shows and photo sessions will be held on select dates, with a “Grand Final” on Halloween night.
