A Halloween Parade Where Kids Can Join In
Japan’s iconic costume parade is back for another year of festive fun along the streets of Harajuku and Omotesando.
Around 1,000 costumed children will march down a one kilometer route in Harajuku and Omotesando. Local neighborhood shops — including popular spots like Kiddyland, Omotesando Hills and Lindt Chocolate Boutique & Cafe — are also getting in on the Halloween spirit with exclusive seasonal menus, merchandise, treats and services.
Guests can collect and present receipts from participating stores to enter the Halloween raffle. Shop or dine at participating stores between October 1st and the event day, with receipts totaling ¥1,000 or more to enter (limit one gacha spin per child, up to 3 children per family/group).
To participate in the parade, guests must purchase a “participation certificate” ticket in advance. On the day of the event, guests will exchange their certificates for tickets at the reception desk.
The parade route will cover Jingumae Elementary School, the front of Omotesando Hills, the front of Ito Hospital and the Jingumae Intersection, and then return to Jingumae Elementary School for a grand finale. Registration will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; with an opening ceremony scheduled for 12:45 p.m. The show will start at 1:00 p.m. and finish at around 2:30 p.m.
