Experience the Magic of a German Christmas
This year, the Tokyo Christmas Market will host its biggest event ever. The market will be held at two venues, Jingu Gaien and Shiba Park (Onarimon Station Square), and will feature stamp rallies, grand illuminations and decor, live music, artisanal goods, food and drinks.

The Christmas market at Jingu Gaien is themed around a fantasy-filled world, while the market at Shiba Park is inspired by a traditional German Christmas. The Jingu Gain market will open on November 21 until December 25, and the Shiba Park market will run from December 5 to December 25.
Each venue will have its own souvenir mug. Guests who purchase their Christmas market ticket in advance will receive a mug as an admission gift. The stamp rally overlaps between the two venues, with three stamps at each venue that create a layered image once you collect all six stamps.
A giant German Christmas pyramid will stand as the beautiful centerpiece with various figures and lights circling each tier of the tower.
The market will feature a huge selection of booths selling food, drinks and craft goods — there will be a total of 56 stores at Jingu Gaien and 14 stores at Shiba Park. Menu items include Berlin Goulash stew, wurstchen sausage, 40-centimeter-long churros, baked cheese potatoes, pumpkin gratin, stollen, mulled wine and more. For a full list of food and drink items, please visit the event website. Other booths will sell souvenirs and artisanal goods such as handmade matryoshka wooden nesting dolls, traditional Austrian ornaments, Fabergé egg pendants, porcelain figures and candles. For a full list of the markets’ miscellaneous items, please check the event website.
The market will welcome a variety of live performers including gospel, opera and classical music. Featured artists include Die Kirchdorfer, the official band of the Munich Oktoberfest, along with dance group Asuna Crew, harmony group Reindeers, rock band Rebellion, idol unit Niello Pierrot and many more. Please see the website for a full performance schedule.
