One of the secrets to surviving summer in Japan is eating healthy portions of shaved ice, and Shogaya Kurobe in Kichijoji has just debuted two special new flavors.

Shogaya Kurobe is a restaurant specializing in ginger-flavored dishes, and so it’s no surprise that one of their shaved ice flavors is also ginger-based. Aside from lavish amounts of homemade ginger syrup, it’s also topped with a squeeze of a fresh sudachi from Kochi to create a truly refreshing flavor.

The other shaved ice on the menu is uji matcha, which includes homemade condensed milk and azuki beans – perfect for matcha fans.

Drop by Shogaya Kurobe in Kichijoji for these shaved ice delights, and plenty of other ginger-flavored treats.
