Bringing the Sounds of São Paulo to Tokyo
Marcelo Kimura, a guitarist and vocalist from São Paulo, Brazil, will be performing at Blue Note Place for a special two-night event.
Centered on Clube da Esquina, a Brazilian music movement born in the late 1960s in the state of Minas Gerais, Kimura’s performance will fuse elements of jazz, rock, classical music and Latin American music to deliver a poetic and profound Brazilian sound.
The performance will feature Marcelo Kimura on guitar, Yu Kimura on piano, Ryoji Orihara on bass and Ryoto Yamashita on drums.
On February 11, doors will open at 17:30 and the show will start at 18:30. On February 12, doors open at 18:00 and the show will start at 19:00.
Blue Note Tokyo will have a special Family Friendly Day on February 11. There are no age restrictions, and guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy the performance. Children under 10 years old may attend at a special price of ¥1100. Reservations for the kid’s plan are accepted by phone only.
