Gilad Hekselman Returns to the Stage

Gilad Hekselman, one of the most important jazz guitarists to emerge since Kurt Rosenwinkel, will be performing at Cotton Club — his first appearance in about six and a half years.

Born in Israel in 1983, he studied at the prestigious New School in New York from 2004 and released his debut album in 2006. He has been active in a wide range of fields, focusing on both electric sounds and contemporary jazz. His latest album, Downhill From Here, featuring Marcus Gilmore and Larry Grenadier, is also generating a lot of buzz.

In this special performance, Hekselman will be playing Rick Rosato on bass and JK Kim on drums. In addition to new songs, the performance will include a diverse selection of pieces from Gilad’s extensive repertoire.

On February 23, the first show will open at 15:30 and start at 16:30. The second show will open at 18:30 and start at 19:30. On February 24 and February 25, the first show will open at 17:00 and start at 18:00. The second show will open at 19:45 and start at 20:30.
