Celebrate the Joy of Gachapon 

Following the massive success of last year’s Gachagacha Exhibition in Marunouchi to commemorate the 60th anniversary of capsule toys coming to Japan, a new and larger iteration of the exhibit will come to the Roppongi Museum in cooperation with the Japan Gachagacha Association.

On February 17, designated as “Gachagacha Day,” the Gachagacha Exhibition Grand Prize will be awarded to the best products from the participating manufacturers. Awards will be decided through a vote by visitors to the exhibition from February 6 to February 16. 

The exhibition will center around gachapon capsule toys, featuring over 200 machine varieties from 13 different manufacturers and five creators. The lineup includes:

From miniature figurines and plush toys to bizarre treasures, gachapon have extended to a wide array of goods throughout their history. The exhibition will highlight this evolution and display a wide variety of toy designs. Guests will also be able to see the latest gachapon products and preorder toys. 

The world’s first gachapon vending machine, Gachaemon (produced by Sanden Retail System Corporation), will also debut at the exhibit.
