The Magic of Makoto Shinkai, Live in Concert

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the theatrical release of Your Name, the Tokyo International Forum will be hosting a film concert where fans can experience the beautiful music of Director Makoto Shinkai’s films performed live by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Your Name has transcended borders and generations, becoming a classic both domestically and internationally. Paired with the masterful sound of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra’s approximate 160 members, this special event is one that fans cannot miss.

The concert will feature the music from three films: Your Name (2016), Weathering With You (2019) and Suzume (2022). The performance will present special footage created specifically for the concert. Fans can enjoy experiencing memorable scenes and powerful scores from their favorite movies in a new powerful way. 

The concert will be produced by Sony Music Solutions and organized by Lawson Co. Orchestra arrangement will be developed by Jinnai Kazuma, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Hirofumi Kurita.

All seats are reserved and listed for ¥11,000. Obstructed view seats are available for ¥9,900. There will be one performance on February 6 and two on February 7. On February 6, doors will open at 17:30 and the concert will start at 19:00. On February 7, the daytime performance will open doors at 11:00 and begin at 12:30. The nighttime performance will open doors at 16:30 and start at 18:00.
