Flowers and Fireflies
The 44th Setagaya Firefly Festival and Heron Flower Market will be held on July 4 and July 5, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Setagaya Daikan Yashiki area.
Visitors can enjoy the magical glow of fireflies, with dedicated viewings starting at 17:00. It is said that this festival was started by local people who wanted to show the fireflies to the children of the town.
The long-awaited season for heron flowers will also be upon us, and guests can pick one out at the heron flower market to bring its seasonal beauty home. The festival will also host exhibitions, local product fairs and a variety of market stalls.
Bicycle parking will be available at the Setagaya Municipal Sakura Elementary School grounds and the Setagaya Daikan Yashiki 2nd parking lot.
