Sailor Moon’s Magical Comeback to Tokyo
Shinagawa Prince Hotel’s Club eX will host a brand-new Sailor Moon theater experience, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo-.
This production will be Tokyo’s first Sailor Moon show in six years. Building on the legacy of the highly popular Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Shining Moon Tokyo, which opened in Azabu-Juban in 2019, this next-generation entertainment venue offers an even more immersive and elevated experience. The new show will feature an entirely new original story, in which audiences will be transported deeper than ever into the world of Naoko Takeuchi’s globally beloved series Sailor Moon. The show will be performed in Japanese, but the theater atrium will display English subtitles.
A rotating cast of performers will bring the story to life. The Team Gold Moon cast includes Rina Koyama as Super Sailor Moon, Marika Kunimatsu as Super Sailor Mercury, Moene Usui as Super Sailor Mars, Moeki Goto as Super Sailor Jupiter, Hinano Chiba as Super Sailor Venus, Anri as Tuxedo Mask and Shiori Sakurai as Queen Valusia.
The Team Silver Moon cast includes Yuna Yamaguchi, Sumire Maruyama, Riku Akagi, Erisa Sugimoto, Runa Sugiyama, Sufa and Sakura Shimizu respectively. For the full cast list and schedule showing which cast is performing, please visit the website.
While filming is not permitted throughout the performance, a concert-style section at the end allows fans to take out their cameras. Fans are also invited to wave the official Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon fanlight, featuring 11 different light colors. Fanlights are available for purchase at the venue, or through the official Sailor Moon fanclub. Other theater merchandise includes bromide prints of the cast members, t-shirts, keychains, acrylic stands, clear files and more.
Fans can enjoy a selection of exclusive drinks and sweets. The crystal bottle drinks are each inspired by a different character, such as the Super Sailor Moon lemonade, the Super Sailor Uranus elderflower tea, the Tuxedo Mast passion fruit lemongrass tea and the Sailor Starlights osmanthus ginger drink. Drinks will be served on a matching coaster featuring motifs of the guardians’ collars. A Luna-shaped bamkuchen will also be available. A drink, coaster and treat set is included with premium, premium sofa and Class S seats. Other ticket holders may add a drink set for ¥2800, up to two days prior to the attending event. Each person may purchase only one add-on per performance date.
Tickets start at ¥8000 for Class A seats and ¥4000 for Class A children’s (ages 4-12) tickets. Box rooms (¥32000) are also available to use as a family room for small children.
