Dive Into the World of Labubu and The Monsters
Art toy and collectible brand Pop Mart will hold a special exhibition at Azabudai Hills Gallery in celebration of the 10th anniversary of “The Monsters,” the series that includes the globally popular character Labubu. This exhibition has been on a global tour through Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Paris, and now it will make a stop in Tokyo from June 11 to July 5.
“The Monsters” by artist Kasing Lung originated as a three-part picture book series. Having lived in the Netherlands during childhood, Lung became interested and inspired by European folklore and nature.
The exhibition presents the world of “The Monsters” in an interactive manner with the “Immersive Video Theater” which features five projection screens and surround sound to create a magical effect. The gallery also displays Lung’s original oil paintings and sculptures, concept sketches, a collection of Labubu toys, fun photo spots and more. Through the exhibition, guests can go through a 10-year development journey with the artist.

The gallery will also have a shopping area where fans can shop for exhibition-exclusive merchandise. Additionally, a limited-time Pop Mart pop-up shop will open on the first basement floor of Azabudai Hills Garden Plaza A from June 11 to July 5 with 10th anniversary items along with other Pop Mart products.
Advanced ticket sales will start on May 25 on the official Pop Mart website. Advance ticket benefits include an exhibition paper ticket, a Super Mini Labubu charm and a postcard.
