Escape to a Firefly Wonderland
Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen in Yamanashi will host a firefly festival where guests can enjoy a fantastical light display along the Katsura River.
Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, the hotel offers a luxurious escape. The firefly festival will be held exclusively for hotel guests, from June 5 to June 27.
The inner garden will welcome guests for firefly viewing at 8 p.m., but accompanying seasonal activities will also be offered in the daytime. The Seiryu-an tea room will serve matcha green tea and wagashi traditional sweets from 2:30 to 6 p.m. The Komorebi-an shop will serve cherry amazake from 2:30 to 6 p.m
A small concert will be held near the firefly viewing area from 8 to 8:30 p.m., featuring solo violin and cello performances. the Night Bar Lounge will showcase a classical ensemble overlooking the garden night view from 9:30 to 10 p.m. Children under elementary school age are not permitted to participate in this event.
The hotel will offer a dedicated festival accommodation plan for guests to fully enjoy the event. This is a popular plan that’s limited to only 8 reservation groups per day. it includes a seasonal cocktail at the Night Bar Lounge, priority seating to the classical ensemble performance, yukata rental, a Japanese-patterned drawstring bag, a seasonal Japanese kaiseki dinner and a Japanese-Western style buffet breakfast.
