This relaxing event pairs the cool sound of around 200 wind chimes with summer scenery at Yomiuriland’s Hana Biyori area.
Flower-decorated wind chimes are displayed throughout the Sacred Forest area, home to buildings designated as Japanese Important Cultural Properties, offering a nostalgic Japanese summer sense of coolness even in the harshest heat.
Elsewhere in the park, visitors can see a flower chandelier display of more than 300 pots, an aquarium with 40 fish species including clownfish and animals including Asian small-clawed otters. The wind chimes are handmade one by one by craftspeople in the Edo furin tradition, letting visitors compare colorful floral designs while enjoying their cool tone.
