Guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Tajima Yabu on May 23 can take part in a hands-on farm experience the following morning, held in collaboration with local organic producer wataya farm.

The program begins with a short walk to the farm, where participants will plant vegetable seedlings and sow seeds — focusing on the early stages of the growing process rather than harvest. Some light harvesting is also included, and guests can take home small herb seedlings such as basil or arugula.

Afterward, the group heads to a nearby community space for a pizza-making session. Using wheat grown at wataya farm and local ingredients, participants will prepare and bake their own pizzas, followed by a casual tasting.

The event is open to all ages and designed to be accessible even for those with no farming experience.
