Roppongi Art Night Returns

This year’s Roppongi Art Night returns with its signature all-night format. From dusk on October 31 until dawn on November 1, the neighborhood becomes a temporary stage with roughly 60 site-specific installations, outdoor performances and extended museum hours across Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and surrounding venues.

A highlight of the festival is “RAN Focus,” a spotlight program that selects a different country or region to feature each year. For 2026, the event turns its gaze to France, presenting a curation in partnership with the French cultural center Centquatre-Paris. You’ll see surreal movement performances by the Yoann Bourgeois Art Company, Charles Pétillon’s six-meter floating balloon sculptures and a massive cardboard structure built collaboratively on-site by artist Olivier Grossetête.

Alongside the outdoor programming, Mori Art Museum is extending its hours through the night, staying open until 6 a.m. on November 1. It’s a rare chance to see Mariko Mori’s major retrospective “All That Shines” well past the museum’s usual closing time.
