This exhibition marks 40 years since the debut of the Dragon Quest role-playing game series. The centerpiece of the event is a Dragon Quest VR Ride, an attraction in which participants dodge monsters attacking one after another in a forest. Special effects will send real gusts of wind across riders, making guests feel like they are soaring through the sky.

Other interactive pieces include the Mirror of Ra, which shows visitors as a monster, and the Thrilling Treasure Chest. Alongside these, the exhibition will display game development material from Yuji Horii, the creator of the series, original character drawings by Akira Toriyama and scores for the game music composed by Koichi Sugiyama, allowing visitors to look back over four decades of the series.

The exhibit will also have a large selection of exhibition-original merchandise on sale.

Ticket prices differ between weekdays and weekends, and between advance and later sales periods; one preschool child can enter for free with each adult, and tickets with limited-edition bonus items are also available.
