A Four-Day Art Festival in Tokyo’s Tennoz Area
Tokyo’s Tennoz area will become a meeting point for art, music, fashion, sports and food this October as Meet Your Art Festival returns for its fifth edition.
Running from October 9 to 12, the festival brings together more than 150 artists across contemporary art exhibitions, art fairs, live performances, talks and a market spanning art, craft, food and drinks.
Music is a major part of this year’s lineup. Tetsuya Komuro and contemporary artist Rintaro Fuse will open the festival with a one-night live installation on October 9, while October 10 features a stage curated by Tribe from Hydeout Productions, including a Nujabes tribute set with visual artist Rei Nakanishi. October 11 is New Balance Day, with live performances by artists including Ayatake Ezaki, Jeremy Quartus, Vicke Blanka and Rejay, alongside art and sports programming.
The festival’s main art exhibition, “Reflux: Signs of Resurgence,” is directed by actor and artist Mirai Moriyama and explores change through the body, movement, contact and vibration. Its performance program includes works by Contact Gonzo, Tomohito Wakui, Kana Kitty, Quick | Takahiko Fukui, Soh Souen and Saori Hala.
Elsewhere, visitors can explore the Meet Your Artists and Co-Crossover art fairs, browse the Super Art & Craft Market and catch talks and special collaborations throughout the Tennoz waterfront.
