Rampage, Personified
UltraSuperNew Kura art gallery will host a new exhibition featuring works by artist and illustrator Danilo Kato.
The “Rampage” exhibition is conceptualized from “a thousand shapes of fantastic creatures spread unchecked in a universe from another dimension.” The exhibit will give the sensation of being in a dream, navigating the personification of thoughts, sentiments and memories.
Born in Brazil and raised in Japan, Kato’s works reflect a strong influence from both cultures. He started as a graphic designer, and is now pursuing his passion as an independent professional. Throughout his career, he has worked with clients such as MTV, Canson and Melissa and Vivida Books. Kato has also participated
in solo and group exhibitions in both Brazil and Japan—most recently the solo show “Kokoro no Mori” at HHH Gallery in Tokyo.
The exhibit will be open from Tuesday to Friday by reservation only. Walk-ins are welcome on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
