The Precure Princes’ Stage Debut
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the start of the Pretty Cure franchise, a “2.5-dimensional” play titled “Dancing Star Precure The Stage Party” will depict male Pretty Cure characters on stage for the very first time. Tickets are on sale now, and performances will run from August 21 to August 23, at the Sun Pearl Arakawa theater.
The “Pretty Cure” on-going magical girl series, also nicknamed as “Precure,” has been loved by generations of fans, with new young heroines introduced every season. To celebrate the milestone anniversary of the start of the original broadcast, the series’ male heroes will also debut and come to life on stage with a spectacular dance performance that fans of all ages can enjoy.
The cast features Tamura Shogo as Cure Top, Ryo Takizawa as Cure Rock, Kiriya Morita as Cure Soul, Terasaka Yoriga as Cure Kagura, An Kotsuji as Cure Break Wago Shinichi as the fairy Pas de Deux and more. The play will be directed by Yo Hosaka. Tickets run for ¥11,000 and will be available through resales until five days prior to each performance date.
For fans who can’t make it to the live performance, a livestream of the show will also be available through Nico Nico Live. The full-view livestream will start at 11:30 a.m. and tickets cost ¥3000. A recorded “switching” version of the performance with multiple camera angles and close ups will also be available to watch for ¥4000. There are currently no plans to release this performance on Blu-ray/DVD, so the livestream is a great options to access the performance from even outside of Tokyo.
A variety of exclusive merchandise will be available, including a character book, acrylic stands, photo cards, light-up rings, stickers and plushies.
