A Cafe Full of Smiles
Niccolino, the popular gachapon toy series of smiling plushies and trinkets, will have a pop-up cafe at Collabo Index in Ikebukuro for a limited time.
The concept of the cafe is that the Niccolino characters have escaped from their gachapon capsules and are now on a mission to fill both hearts and stomachs with smiles. Matching Niccolino’s signature cute faces, the cafe menu will also feature foods, drinks and treats decorated with smiling characters.
Fans can enjoy the Niccolino burger with a runny fried egg and avocado-flavored fries. There will also be the shooting star chocolate mousse with star motifs and sprinkles.
There will be a variety of fun drink options. The “Octopus Mischief” drink blends tomato juice with strawberries for an interesting combination. The sparkling jelly cream soda is a new take on the classic kissaten treat. It has colorful jellies, vanilla ice cream, melon soda and a cherry on top. The violet flower tea offers a gentle sweetness and a refreshing taste infused with violet syrup and garnished with edible flowers. These three drinks will have the option to include an exclusive drink stirrer with the corresponding characters, for an additional ¥980. All three of these drinks can also be ordered as take out.
The drink menu will also offer hot lattes with a random Niccolino character printed on top. Customers will receive one random coaster with each order from the collaboration menu.
The cafe merchandise selection includes acrylic drink stirrers, compact mirrors and sliding tin cases. Merchandise is only available for purchase by customers who order from the collaboration menu.
