A Taste of Real Okinawa

Okinawa Fes Milafete, an urban festival celebrating the “real okinawa,” will host its 10th anniversary event at Yoyogi Park, bringing Okinawan food, culture and lifestyle to Tokyo.

The two-day festival will feature a wide variety of performers and food booths. Day 1 artists include Rio Higashisato, Akamine Sisters, Inagungwa, Kariyushi 58, Kuniko (Rukyu Sound) Grace Aimi and more. Day 2 artists include Arinkurin, Yu Kamisato (D-51), Kiyama Shoten, Hiirage, Seven Oops and more. The food market will spotlight some of Okinawa’s most popular dishes. Other local government and tourism booths will showcase the unique character of each region of Okinawa.

The festival is free to attend, and will take place in Yoyogi Park’s event plaza/outdoor stage area.
