Celebrate Christmas at the Over 100-Year-Old Warehouse
The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will host its 16th annual Christmas market from November 21 to December 25 with grand decorations, Christmas goods, gourmet food, greetings with Santa Claus and a luxurious premium lounge.
The centerpiece of the venue will be the Christmas tree, a 12-meter-tall real fir tree decorated with over 20,000 LED bulbs. The tree will be part of an illuminations show that will be on display every 15 minutes.
The premium lounge will offer a private and luxurious experience. The space will be themed around the concept of “Christmas Traveling Through Time” along with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque art styles. Guests will be served a special menu by Café & Rotisserie La Cocorico, a popular Italian restaurant located inside the Red Brick Warehouse, that includes your choice of rotisserie chicken or Ibaraki Prefecture pork. Reservations for the lounge start on November 7, and the space can be booked for November 22 to December 5 (11:00 – 20:30) or December 6 to December 25 (11:00-22:00).
Regular admission tickets can be purchased online or in the main entrance of the venue. Priority admission is also available. Please check the event website for full ticket details.
The main market venue will have 60 food, beverage and merchandise booths. Featured shops will be selling a variety of goods, including German schnitzel, mulled wine, stew, waffles, melted cheese, churros, gratin and more. Kirin’s Afternoon Tea will serve specialty versions of their drink, a merry white milk tea and winter ginger and spice chai. Guests can also shop for Christmas goods like candles, wreaths and dolls. On December 9, Santa Claus will come to visit the Red Brick Warehouse. Guests can take a commemorative photo with Santa. A special program will run on December 13 and December 14, where guests can visit a mobile post office, write a letter and send it right from the truck.
This year will feature a new area of the Christmas market, the Christmas Gate in Shinko Central Square. Admission into Christmas Gate is free, and the area will be open from November 21 to December 25. This new area will have additional festive decorations, photo spots, food trucks and shops.
